FRAMINGHAM (AP) — The suspect in the fatal shootings of a father and son from Massachusetts was held without bail at his arraignment Wednesday.
Aneudy Delgado-Torres, 39, pleaded not guilty to murder charges in connection with the slayings of James “Manny” Wade, 45, and his son James Wade, 24, in Framingham last week.
The victims, both Framingham residents, were shot in a parking lot that is a known location for drug dealing, Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan said at a news conference Tuesday.
The older victim was shot in the heart, lung and liver, prosecutors said in court, according to The MetroWest Daily News.
The younger man was shot through the back of his neck with an exit wound in his jaw, and in both legs, prosecutors said.
A gun was recovered at the scene.
Delgado-Torres' attorney argued there was no probable cause and asked that his client be released on personal recognizance.
Authorities did not say what prompted the victims to go to the parking lot, but did say they were meeting someone they knew. Several people, including Delgado-Torres, were there.
Delgado-Torres, without saying anything, pulled a gun and fired several times at the Wades, Ryan said.
