To the editor:

A global climate strike will occur from Friday, Sept. 20, until the following Friday, Sept. 27. The aim of this global strike is to join young people and support their call to an end of fossil fuels.

Right now, there is a total of six of these strikes planned in New Hampshire, including Manchester, Portsmouth, Keene, Hopkinton, Plymouth and Conway.

The climate strike is planned to call attention to the young students who strike at school every Friday to call action to climate change. This won’t solve this issue of climate change, but it will draw attention to the issue and that young people are willing to take a stand.
