To the editor:
I agree with Joan Matthews’ letter to the editor of Sept. 5. She objected to the Newburyport boardwalk parking spaces being removed.
The river is cleaner and more accessible than it was when I grew up there. It’s a pleasant experience to visit.
The removal of the parking spaces might impact the limited-mobility seniors and others coming here.
Let’s keep the boardwalk accessible to everyone and not just the people who can make their way down from the garage. And please, no more buildings on the waterfront!
