To the editor:

The Pentucket Parent Alliance has organized an all night, substance-free mystery extravaganza for Pentucket Regional High School’s graduating seniors since 1994. Known as Senior Celebration, students spend the evening after graduation celebrating at various venues. This year it included a festival at the school, Blue Man Group, dinner at Dick’s Last Resort, an outing at Boda Borg, a breakfast hosted by the West Newbury Fire Department and a hypnotist show.

The students had a great time celebrating together as a class one last time. While the evening was a great success, it took a tremendous amount of effort from volunteers and the entire community to ensure our graduates safely celebrated this important milestone. Senior Celebration would not have been possible without more than $27,000 in donations from local businesses, organizations, families and friends.

We would like to recognize the following donors for their generosity: Boston Bruins/TD Garden, Flatbread Company, Institution for Savings, Pentucket Athletic Association, Pentucket Regional High School Soccer, West Newbury Food Mart, West Newbury PTO, Verizon Foundation, Bagnall PTA, Haverhill Bank, Merrimac PTO, Pentucket Bank, Starbucks, West Newbury Insurance, Attorney Martin Arsenault, Attorney Mitch Kroner, Board & Brush, Dr. James Quinn DDS, Dr. Dr. Cheryl Hills DMD, Groveland Knights of Columbus, River Valley Real Estate, Jeff & Maria’s Ice Cream, Journeay Insurance, Lindt Chocolate, Boston Red Sox, Jon Val Salon, Dr. Chad MacDonald – Watts Eye Associates, Nick’s Place, Riverside Pizza, The Winner’s Circle, West Newbury Pizza Company, Glenn Kemper – Executive Gourmet, Cheryl and Joe Lynch, Odd Fellows of Newburyport, Karen Holmes Physical Therapy, Shaheen Brothers, Your Place and Ours Pizza, DeLeo’s Pizza, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Walmart, Abraham’s Bagels, Best Bagels, Newburyport Five Bank, Jim Manfield, Cedardale Health and Fitness, Bean and Bean LLC, Tuscan Brands, Jackson Lumber, North Shore Music Theater, TownePlace Suites by Marriott Peabody, The Big Scoop Ice Cream, Pentucket Players, Harvard Street Productions and Daniels Electric.

We thank Salter Transportation for donating busses to safely transport the graduates and to the dozens of parents that spent the entire school year planning Senior Celebration. This evening would not have been possible without the support of Pentucket Regional High School staff and teachers especially Ms. Janna Mallard, the Class of 2019 Class Advisor.

We are fortunate to live in a community that cares so much about one another. It was truly a team effort to give the Class of 2019 a graduation gift that they will remember for a lifetime. We wish all of our graduates the best as they embark on their next chapter.
