To the editor:
As artistic director of the Newburyport Chamber Music Festival, I would like to thank everyone who made our 18th season the most successful year yet. Oy, but where do I start?
I guess first and foremost, a thanks to all those of you who attended our concerts over the year. Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm and for getting the word out to your friends. Our audience continues to grow hugely because of you.
I’d also like to thank all our sponsors and advertisers, especially the Institution for Savings, Newburyport Bank, M. Steinert & Sons, as well as the cultural councils of Merrimac, Newbury, Newburyport, Salisbury and West Newbury.
The complete list of sponsors can be found on our website. I’m also super grateful to the Newburyport Daily News for its coverage and Joe DiBiase/Local Pulse and WHOP who have been such champions of ours.
A huge thanks to St. Paul’s Church for its warm support and also to the many businesses and individuals who welcomed our musicians into their spaces, and Newburyport’s unofficial poets laureate Rhina Espaillat and Alfred Nichol, and the Newburyport Art Association and Alan Bull.
We are already deep in planning for 2020 and I look forward to seeing you at many of our concerts next year, including the Summer Festival from Aug. 3-16.
