To the editor:
Thanks to amazing sponsors, partners and over 40 volunteers, Newburyport’s largest music festival of the summer, the Americana Rhythm & Roots Festival, was a huge success! This event is all about celebrating our parks and our community, and we we did just that. We achieved our goal: to finance the festival, and raise funds to help support Newburyport's 26 city parks
We are grateful to over 70 local sponsors and participants who rallied to support the festival at Waterfront Park. Guests enjoyed a free concert by incredibly talented Quentin Callewaert and the awesome blues band Walk That Walk, as well as two exhilarating performances by N.H. Academy of Performing Arts.
Thank you to Lexie’s, Metzy’s, FISH (Poke) and Fig Tree Kitchens who set up the fabulous food truck court, and to Riverwalk, Mill River Winery, Saintly Cider and Seaboard Products, participants in our wine and beer garden. Mother Nature forced the venue inside the theater where VIP ticket holders and guests experienced not only a fully catered affair but, also a memorable experience and the private performances of a lifetime.
Our gratitude to VIP Sponsors the Institution for Savings and Bentley's Real Estate; Park Guardians Briar Barn Inn, Grove Restaurant and Leary's Fine Wine & Spirits; Park Protectors Dyno Records, Eastern Bank, New England Development, Newburyport Development, Newburyport Bank, Plum Island Coffee Roasters/Soufflés/Commune, Provident Bank, Seaboard Products and UAV Look Drone Services.
Also, to band sponsors Kaya Jewelers, The Deck and Riley & Associates PC, and to April McFarland for signage.
