To the editor,

I am thoroughly confused as to why people, parents and grandparents, would buy property only at most one-half mile from a major highway, especially when their main concerns are their children being in the street and something happening to them.

What is to stop them from going out to the highway being interested in cars and trucks, etc.? Furthermore, what is to prevent adults with dementia or even Alzheimer’s from wandering out that way? Sounds like this may be in the future of people who spend their time counting cars all day.

Where has the neighborly spirit gone when some people can thoughtlessly put a young lady out of her own house and end her business. Too many cars everywhere of which you apparently haven’t noticed. Downfall Road has always been narrow too!
