Coach's outlook: "We have a team with great potential. With leadership, hard work and young developing runners, the team has the opportunity to be competitive through the whole season."

Pentucket Sachems

Coach: Darrel Cox (7th season)

Last year's record: 4-8

Newcomers: Biggest freshman class in Cox's career.

Strengths: Participation numbers.

Concerns: Inexperience: Twenty of 39 team members are first-year runners.

Coach's outlook: "We should do better record-wise than last year. Part of that is because the entire league graduated a tremendous amount of seniors. I don't think our team was affected as much as some others."

Triton Vikings

Coach: Joe Colbert (10th season)

Last year's record: 7-5

Key returning athletes: Cam Loughlin, sr.; Tyler Colbert, sr.; John Mirandi, sr.; Sean Mitchell, sr.; Brock Germinara, sr.; Sam Auwerda, jr.; Dmitri Hunt, jr.; Brandon Duford, so.

Coach's outlook: "We hope to be competitive and improve on last year's record. If we stay healthy, it could be an interesting season, and I know these kids won't be outworked."

Coach's outlook: "We have a great core of runners, and a lot of new girls who are working very hard. The competition in the CAL is going to be really tough. I'm confident these girls will pull through."

Coach's outlook: "We hope to get back to a winning record. Our top three should be very competitive. The rest of the team is young, but also very enthusiastic. Several of the newcomers look like they will contribute."
